The 7 core areas of preparedness
If you get a chance, go out and buy Backwoods Home magazine this month (Jan/Feb 2012). It's worth the $6 just to read Patrice Lewis' superb article on the 7 core areas of preparedness. There are lots of articles and guides out there that treat this subject trivially (as I've mentioned in one of my previous posts), but this one really nails the family preparedness steps you should be thinking about. Hopefully the article will come out on the Backwoods Home Website before long.

I recently subscribed to Backwoods Home. I finally got a block of time the other evening to sit and read this article.
ReplyDeletePrepping can be so overwhelming... So much to do, so little time and money. And, where to start?
The article breaks prepping into 7 core areas. I'm using these to start my "List of Lists". One list of preps for each area.
Great article. Great magazine. Worth every penny of the $25 I spent.
The book seems to be a good reading. Where to order it from?
